Theatres and concert halls are also a short distance away from the property and are easily reachable by public transportation. De pijp rules. Behind the heineken brewery, this district has a fantastic daily market, first-rate food shops, some well hidden cafés and bars only the locals seem to know about somehow. De pijp is one the supreme areas in amsterdam to go bargain hunting or buy something surprising (try finding argentinian matte (tea) anywhere in europe, well, they sell it here).
