This property is an acceptable choice for those on a budget and those who want to be close to the city centre but in a more typical amsterdam environment. 06/2006/jg. The hotel is located in a trendy corner building typical to the area. Both guest rooms and bathrooms vary in size and color schemes, however they are nothing fancy and are in very basic condition. The breakfast room boasts an elderly style ambience with usual dutch style tiled floor and tall dark wooden wall panelling. The bar is kept in the same style as the breakfast room and connected to the lobby. The lobby is little in size and opens up to the breakfast room and hotel bar.

The breakfast room boasts an old style atmosphere with typical dutch style tiled floor and tall dark wooden wall panelling. The bar is kept in the same style as the breakfast room and connected to the lobby. The lobby is tiny in size and opens up to the breakfast room and hotel bar. This hotel is situated by the overtoom which, although not in the heart of the city, is a 20 minute walk to the leidseplein or a 5 minute tram ride away (tram #1. Tram#17 goes to central station in about 15 minutes). The overtoom itself has several restaurants, shops and bars which are popular with the locals and is a short walk from the celebrated vondel park.
Overview: This hotel is located in a peaceful area between rembrandtpark and vondelpark, within easy access of the centre of amsterdam. The whole of the city can easily be reached by tram which stops opposite the hotel. After exploring the cultural and antique attractions of the city, you can unwind with a drink on the hotel's terrace.
