General Description: Located in an authentic 18th century building, listed since 1995, the carelshaven is surrounded by a lovely flower garden and landscaped park of 1.3 hectares. In addition to comfy guest rooms for a restful night’s rest at the carelshaven, you can also organise lunches or dinners, meetings, receptions and parties. The light conservatory offers a great place to relax with a drink and enjoy the view of the garden. The mild ambience of the salon and the bar will set you right at ease. Weather permitting, the terrace overlooking the garden is a great place to sit out. In the summer the porch offers a cool spot out of the sun.
Hotel Overview: Built in 1772 by earl carel george van wassenaar, lord of twickel, as an inn on the twickel canal. Under the management of the kluvers family since 1837 and synonymous with gastronomic excellence in the eastern region of twente. Carelshaven boasts 21 tastefully furnished doubled rooms, all of which are en suite and equipped with telephone, minibar and tv. Half of the rooms are situated in the main building and the other half in our garden wing. The rooms in the garden wing all have their own terrace or balcony.
