Built in 1858 as a home for baron van brienen, and renovated in 2005, the hotel des indes, a luxury collection is located opposite the lange voorhout palace museum in the hague. The 92 guestrooms feature classy and ancient furnishings such as red glass wall hangings and patterned glass. All include satellite television, internet connections, minibars, and safes. Guests can relax in the imposing atrium, fully restored with an immense modern glass chandelier as the centrepiece. The hotel's health club offers an indoor marble swimming pool, as well as gym facilities, a steam bath, a solarium, and a variety of spa treatments. The eatery is adjacent to the lounge and serves cultured french cuisine with a mediterranean flavour. The eatery is open for lunch monday to friday and for dinner monday to saturday. There is a bar on the ground floor, and the lounge is decorated with corinthian columns and classical ornaments; it is open all day serving drinks, snacks, and afternoon tea made using loose tea leaves and mineral water, with cakes served on ornate stands. Overview: The ultra-chic and entirely renovated hotel des indes, a luxury collection hotel is situated on a leafy square in the heart of the hague. Initially this great manor house was built as the town residence of baron van brienen; the individual advisor of king william the third. In 1881 it was sold and transformed into an elegant hotel. Nowadays it features 92 rooms, 10 meeting rooms with natural daylight and an impressive health club; all designed by the renowned architect jacques garcia. Antique shops, inspirational restaurants, prominent museums and theatres are within walking distance. The hotel is easy to reach by both car and public transportation.

Location Description: ensuing its entire renovation, this is possibly the best hotel in the netherlands. It has been beautifully restored to its former, traditional heyday, but with ultramodern touches, and offers the utmost in luxury. It also comes entire with a health spa which is located on the lower ground floor and is almost like a labyrinth, with arches leading to treatment rooms and a petite indoor swimming pool. This hotel comes highly recommended. Cg/08/2007 this is a very grand, grand, traditional building. This hotel is located in the city centre, next to the former royal palace and near the royal park of the hague, a short stroll from the main shopping areas and the houses of parliament.
Rooms: Guest rooms This hotel reopened in 2005 after a primary renovation throughout by jacques garcia. The bedrooms are all large and very lovely with immense beds, all with canopies over them, and usual garcia touches such as studded or tassled furnishings. They are very conventional but with a modern twist and are in first-rate condition. The bathrooms are also impeccable and exquisite and in first-rate condition with stone floor, painted walls and italian marble sinks. There are also usual dutch references throughout eg the hotel room are on dutch tulip vases and vast, hand painted tulips adorn the walls of the corridors.
